Broken English

English ale brewed with English Marris Otter, CaraMunich, and Belgian Special B. English East Kent Goldings and Challenger hops offer floral and piney notes to the nose with a hint of lemony citrus. Won the Silver Medal for ESB at the 2015 & 2016 US Open Beer Championship.

The Great Bam-Gino

A twist on the Cascadian Dark Ale style, our Black Rye IPA is packed with flavor. Enough bitterness to satisfy hop heads, yet balanced and drinkable over a few pints. Chinnok, Amarillo, and Centennial hops attribute to its citrus and piney nose while Pale, Rye, Special B, and Black Patten malts offer a spicy, yet, full caramely body to this robust version of India Pale Ale.

Pineapple imposter

English Marris Otter and a touch of CaraHell offer a straight forward malty backbone, while Centennial hops give a moderate, yet clean bitterness to the finish. Mosaic hops give the aromatic deception of passion fruit and pineapple to this wonderful pale ale. Drink early, drink often.

The Commie Colada

Sharing is caring when it comes to this rich Baltic Porter. English Marris Otter and

Vienna constitute the bulk of the grain bill ,while CaraAroma, Chocolate and

traditional English Brown Malt make up our specialty malt regime. Shredded coconut, toasted in house, was added during the end of the brewing process to add a special twist to classic style.

Keen’s Greens

Maris Otter Pale and Caramunich malts give all the backbone needed for this tasty, well balanced IPA. Simcoe and Cascade hops were employed to give a resinous citrus nose to satisfy the hop head in all of us. Named after our very own Wednesday night entertainment here at the pub, a man of many talents, Mr. Matt Keen.

Ruby Hewis and the Brews

If it’s hip to be square, this traditional Irish Red is a cube. Pale, crystal, and a touch of roasted barley, give the ruby color to this beer striking you with the power of love at first sight. East Kent Goldings and Fuggel hops offer an earthy nose to this malty UK beer. Cash and or credit card is required to ride this train.

This malty Scottish Ale, made up of Pale and Chocolate malts, is sure to take you for a ride. Historically brewed as a premium offering throughout the UK since the 1700’s, our Wee Heavy has the slightest hint of cherrywood smoked malt to add some depth and complexity to this malt forward, boozie ale. So grab a snifter, a kilt,  and your bagpipes, cause this beer will help you hunker down and keep warm as we embrace our Chicago winter. (Kilt and bagpipes not necessary for optimum beer enjoyment)

Brewed with Pilsner, CaraMunich, Black Patten and Chocolate malts, this German Black Lager is stealthy. A clean, yet slightly roasty nose gives way to a light biscuity flavored lager that finishes slightly dry. Hold this bad boy up to the light and the blood red hue is seen through the heart of the glass.
